Anyone got an airbox for a CB500S-Y?
I'm looking for a replacement airbox housing for my 2001 CB500S - suffering from the old air filter cover rotating bolt problem so only interested if they haven's stripped yet!
And, just on the offchance... also a main spring for the centre stand (which apparently are not made any more...
Cheers chaps

I think I've got an airbox at home, I'll have a look on Sunday when I'm back at home

In last resort, or if you don't feel like throwing the old airbox, it's somewhat easily repairable:
- Apply heat with the tip of a soldering iron to the seized screw until it softens the surrounding plastic (a few minutes will do).
- Then use pliers or vise grips to pull the nut-insert assembly out.
- Unscrew the insert, clean the thread and glue it back in the airbox.
- Apply grease to prevent further corrosion with the screw and voilà

It doesn't change much 'round 'ere :)
Sadly (for you) I don't have either an airbox or a centre stand spring...

Yup I've got one, currently missing the cover where the air filter goes and the bolts but I'm sure it's somewhere in the shed, if not you've already got them on your airbox.
Say £15 posted?
I might also have the main stand spring(s) too, can you measure them up and I'll have a look. I'm sure I've got some in draw somewhere!
