The pod filter issue.
Does anyone know anyone who has actually got pod filters to work with these carbs? Looked long and hard on here and general web search to see if its possible at all to run this set up but can,t seem to find any definitive answers apart from, it,s impossible and just run the stock air box. Unfortunately ive relocated my battery to that area and now have run into the bad fuelling issues associated with pods.

Re: The pod filter issue.
The airbox provides a tuned resonant air column for the induction system.
You might have some luck by lengthening the carburettor trumpets to approximate the resonant effect.
The alternative might be to partition the fuel tank and use some of it as an air box. No simple solutions.

Thanks so much. decent info and explains alot of these symptoms. I was thinking of extending the intakes down into my custom battery box and using that as an actual airbox instead. just have to work out how much volume i,ll need to obtain a decent vac level. then find a new home for the battery of course . thanks again mate.
