Re: Exhaust for the cb
I don't know about the Motad Joe, but I was given a Fuel and link pipe that fitted straight on to the standard down pipes. However, it was so bloody noisy in an unpleasant way, that I reverted to a cobbled up slip-on I'd done using a Fazer 600 silencer. This worked brilliantly, sounded good, and only cost me £20.

Thanks for that. Yes I can wait and sooner or later something will show up. I have patched up the oem one for now so it has a year or so left in it. I am slowly tarting this machine up while we have idle hands and no where to go. Nice to hear from you again.

I can thoroughly recommend Delkovic. I bought a full system but you can get just the silencer and link pipe. Their aftersales service is outstanding as well.

Installation is pretty easy.
As for the sound.. It comes with a db-killer. So noise is almost the same as standard. I removed the db-killed but that is INSANE LOUD so i bought another db-killer which has a bigger opening (or make one yourself).
Now it has the perfect sound and its not to loud to anoy people. It also has the BANGS when enigine braking :p

Re: Exhaust for the cb
Both Motad and Fuel will bolt straight on to the existing downpipes.
Methinks the Motad looks more period-correct. Feel free to disagree.
Some like it loud, and as long as it's not approaching Harley-loud I'm all for some volume, as it comes with a bit of safety because people tend tosee hear you better.

Thanks for that. Yes I to was thinking motad. Not looking for screaming eagles or head banging just sound and motable. My bike just gets used as an emergency and winter bike so it is good with any quite exhaust just didn't want to change everything. I have patched the oem one up for now so I have time to search for one.

Re: Exhaust for the cb
I think that the Original Motad went bust in 2017 as that would have been my first choice for both the style and silencing capability, but as I couldn't get one I went for the Delkevic. If you really want a Motad perhaps you should contact wheelie shaun.

Yep, they went under in 2017. However the remains were bought out by Nigel Worthington and have continued under the name Exhausts 2017: https://exhausts2017.com/honda
Couldn't tell you how much may have changed production wise. Motad stuff used to be very good quality, had set of Motad pipes and can on my old FZS600 that still looked top notch 5 years after fitting when I flogged the bike: https://www.beginnerbiker.com/2013/11/fitting-motad-venom-stainless-steel-downpipes-exhaust-fazer-600/
