Exhaust Empty Exhaust

Post by robnant Thu 16 Jun 2011, 6:07 pm

I only got my CB500 yesterday & already know it was an ace buy. However, there are a few maks on the exhaust.
Any advice on how to get rid of them? If I want it painted black, as per original, any tips?
Thanks.

Grab a can of satin black exhaust paint if you're sticking with the original system.
The general consensus is to replace with a stainless system when you have the cash; Delkevic seems a popular choice, I fitted a Laser stainless system but the price of these has gone up astronomically since I bought mine.

You can always keep an eye out on ebay as they do come up now and again..

Did mine a couple of weeks ago as can't afford a new one yet, (need lots of other bits first) we took it off, gave it a bit of a wet and dry sanding to get the worst of the scrtches off and sprayed it with the black exhaust paint and it's come up quite nicely if you dont look to close ( some drippy bits!). Means I really can't drop it on that side now Very Happy
