Re: cbf500 rear shock length
I’ve just measured my new ones before I fit them
They’re 35.5 cm from centre of hole to centre of ache hole.
I hope that helps.

Re: cbf500 rear shock length
CB 500 wiki lists 350mm for the pair the CB 500 uses.
https://www.cb500-wiki.de/doku.php?id=fahrwerk_und_rahmen:federbeine
I think original poster is asking for info for CB 500 F which has a single rear shock that most likely does not match CB 500 in length.

Just posted the same question. Did you get an answer?
Where did the 300/310mm come from?
Cheers

Re: cbf500 rear shock length
My quick (5 min) browse suggests that they are 350mm free-length (off the bike).
e.g. here are some for sale (look at the 'specifications' tab):
https://www.brooksuspension.co.uk/honda-cb500-yss-twin-shock-absorbers-94-991/
It might be worth ringing up (for example) Hagon (they phone number is on their website) - they might just tell you if you asked!

Hi,
I changed to the TEC ones awhile ago and whilst they are good they do seem "taller" than on my other cb5 which has Hagons fitted...

Re: cbf500 rear shock length
Pardon me but doesn't the CBF have a single shock whilst the original classic CB has two shocks..
I imagine the single shock CBF is much shorter than the two on the CB500, this is due to the linkages on a single shock that reduce the stroke of the shock.
Hope this helps..

Ah yes, someone has slipped that 'f' in... helps if you read the title before posting! doh!
A bit more digging and a slightly different link:
https://www.brooksuspension.co.uk/honda-cbf500-yss-shock-absorber-04-08/
It says '295 mm' on the spec page... if you measured 300ish you wouldn't be far off!

Sorry, disregard my replies,
I didn’t read your question properly
I thought it was a CB500.
Didn’t read the cbf500.

Easy mistake to make - I did exactly the same thing!
Did the original poster ever manage to find a shock?
