rear shock absorbers
has any one got a reasonable pair of second hand standard shock absorbers or a company that can supply a pattened set for my 1998 cb500........ money is a bit tight just now and one has started to leak

Dont know about the quality of them as mines are still the originals... was looking to replace mines but need to get two tyres first!

Somewhere around the forum is a thread telling exactly how bad they are.
Check out Hagons for decent replacements.

Wow are they really that bad?!
I do remember reading about dodgy shocks! Was just thinking as smokie did say money was tight.... Looks like i'll be getting the piggy bank out till i can afford the Hagons as there not that cheap!
Although it is sometimes true... buy cheap... buy twice! (not the best motto for a Moorcycle rider) haha!

thanks for the warnng on the cheap shocks ...... i have found this site (http://www.bike-breakers.info/Forms/Honda.htm) and have 4 replies so far and i am going to phone them and see what price they are. has any one used this site before?

I think that is just a site that aggregates queries to send to registered breakers, so you are actually dealing direct with the breakers, not with the site.
