Naked cb500 ready to strip.

I have just acquired another cb500 that has not been given the love and attention that it should have had.
I originally wanted it to get the tank and swingarm for my own use, so the rest of the parts will be up for sale. The bodywork has already got a place in the bin allocated as has the headlight. The other parts should be OK, I'll be able to let any interested parties know once I have stripped it at the weekend.

Unfortunately not, the silencer is an aftermarket one.

How good or bad are the forks Andy?

I now have 2 sets of forks.
I haven't actually had time to strip this bike yet, but I'll post some pictures of the ones I have loose and let you judge for yourself.

Some pictures as promised, there is pitting on the stanchions but nothing affecting the swept area. They are straight!

will it run with standard set up is it a road legal can as i leave for work at 5.30am

I think that you could be right James. 
All my spare time has been focused on the track bike so I haven't really looked at this one yet.

how much do you want for the exhaust.

The silencer is a 380mm Hawk model, which is B.S. stamped and appears to have a baffle fitted although the screw is missing. 
It's in black with age related marks here and there but useable.
I can't say how loud it is because I haven't heard it running. 
£30 collected although I can post it plus postage.

What condition are the Rear disc and pads in? My disc is down to the limit and the previous owner appears to have fitted a pair of those new teflon brake pads...

I'll take a look tomorrow, I believe that I have a decent set of pads that I bought for my track bike but never used them as I upgraded the rear caliper.

i'm down in Devon although I do have family in Camberley.

Sorry for the late response, I got a bit side tracked. They appear to be in a reasonable condition apart from a slight flatting on the underside of one pipe. It comes in the traditional brown distressed surface finish so could do with a nice coat of high temperature paint to do it justice.
