Southern Meet Up Photos
Thanks to Jerryfudd (Dan), who led Teamster, MagicMan Alex and I to Epping Forest to meet TTMan.
Dan had sorted a great route to avoid the M25, apart from the Dartford crossing.
128 miles later, it was great to have a ride out in the dry, and chat around our bikes with a few cups of tea.

was a good day and a nice turn out.... will definitely have to get the meets more of a regular thing.
location was good, not too far up for us and good to see TTFan make it down.

Looks like you had fun. Sorry that I couldn't make it (I voted 'maybe' for reason!) - I probably should have been more clear about my 'maybe-ness'
Anyway, glad you liked the venue - I thought it might be in about the right place. I'll have to make it to a future meet...

Re: Southern Meet Up Photos
We did wonder if you were going to join us ET.
The venue was OK, albeit there was a lot of dust kicking up. Twice, I got an eyeful when someone pulled into the car park.
As the venue was chosen to accommodate members from the North, we were very pleased to see that TTFan had come along. The other 4 of us, travelled up together from 'the south'.

...not to mention my precious CB got covered also! allergies were also kicking up a stink too but still would happily go back there.
I'm sure they'll be other times ET. I mentioned to Teamster that I my CB has been on the road 2 years now and this is the first proper meet up that I've been to... possibly the first thats gone ahead in that time also down south? ...which is something that will definitely have to be remedied (providing its dry lol).
heres the one photo I took from the day with the rogue R1 in the background.

Re: Southern Meet Up Photos
I've not been there much in the 'dryer' part of the year but I'm not surprised that the dust wasn't good.
Maybe we should try and find some more 'just north of London' venues?
In my experience it's surprisingly difficult to get people to actually go out and ride their bikes (note I am saying this as someone who didn't make it :)
TBH there is only a certain proportion of people who will come and 'meet up', irrespective of when and where you do the meeting.

I blame Facebook and its ilk for that, people are living their lives virtually rather than going out.
All we can do is set the meets up, everyone is welcome

Agree with the Faceache comment!
It's what i like about this proper forum, and shows exactly why we should keep (really) riding and maintaining these bikes!
