tires/tyres
Hello all,
up to today running in Michelins, pilot actives, then they became obsolete and switched to pilot street, OK with them
like pilot actives, they do about 7 to 8 KKm and are to be replaced, sometimes I have kept them up to 10+KKm (like this year)
I keep the original dimensions 110(130)/80-17
I have read a lot of switching from 80 to 70, what this change will give me ?
I have read a lot of switching from 130 to 140, even more, what this change will give me ?
I'm not a foot pegs dragging rider , but I love fast curved mounting riding
looking to change tires (or tyres, which is the correct one ?! the corrector underlines tyres as a mistake, any way)
all the topics are quite "old" and tires manufacturers develop rapidly.
any recommendation ? I rarely ride on wet, but a lot of riding on cold roads
Keep and ride safe !!

Re: tires/tyres
I use 120/70 front tyre (Michelin) as it was a more commonly available size and it fitted with no issues. There doesn't appear to be any difference with the handling and I'm hoping that the slightly wider flatter section will give me better braking in an emergency.

Re: tires/tyres
good choice Beresford !
geometrically is almost the same, except the width
https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=110-80r17-120-80r17
isn't it "heavier" the front ?
how is the feeling ?

Re: tires/tyres
they heavily missed the expansion chambers at their exhausts...like all Japs before copying Mr. Kaaden.
OK for the intake rotary valves, the best engineering on 2T intakes , but with cigar like exhausts is nothing more than a yawa / mz

I use Bridgestone Battlax Bt46
I tried the pilot activ too. Seems the Bridgestone are holding up better imo. Both on the road and the km use.
