I will change my tires soon and I want to do a small change. Did someone fitted 120/70/17 on front and 140/70/17 on back? What tire dimensions do you have?

Hi, I went for a set of new Dunlops GT501 with original dimensions: 110/80-17 front, 130/80-17 rear. The tires are definitely not for any dynamic riding and I look for the closest chance to throw them away! Good luck. Denis.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but i would also know if a 120/70-17 fits in the front, and 140/70-17 in the rear Smile

70 profile tyres will fit fine. It's what the thundersport racers tend to use.

So 120/70 in the front will fit?

Just fitted Michelin Pilot Street Radials in these sizes. Fitting is fine, with a few millimeters extra clearance noticeable on the front where the original 110/80s used to rub slightly on the FendaExtenda.
I haven't had them out on the road yet so can't comment on how they ride.

I tend to run 110/70/17 and 13/70/17  just 10% lower profile than standard I have run 100/8017 on the front the turn in is much improved almost too much so went back to 110  I not want to put 120 on the front I would make the steering very slow

Currently Have K66 HEIDENAU TYRE ALL WEATHER 110/70H17 and 130/70H17 tyres.
For the past few years have used conti GO

The Heidenau are very good in the cold and wet  but guess short life   they are a very soft compound
