Meet Up 12th July - Beaulieu

Would anyone like to meet up here on Sunday 12th July?

It would be good to get a collection of CB500s together.

The bumph says if you want to park with your friends/club, you should arrive together, so maybe for those going, a meeting point before entry and ride in together?

Yes, I thought we would arrange one nearer the time when we know who's going.

sounds good to me hopefully by then the CB will be back on the road.... although I highly doubt finished!

do they ever get finished? Once you've done all the things in your mind at the moment you'll probably think......I should have done that, or...I think I'll do this!!!! lol

noooooooo! ...besides when I'm done with this I'll go back to tarting up the CBF and then vice versa - or get another bike but that could end up in divorce

I hope it'd make the outing but extremely doubtful I'd get it painted by then if it's a no go I'll be the black sheep of the bunch on the CBF.

JerryFud and I have agreed to meet at the Havant Rowlands Castle (great name for a Travellodge!), on the Saturday night for a few pre-event beers and a meal in the Harvester next door.

We've also booked our advance tickets for the event.

Anyone else up for this? Either staying over to discuss 'all things CB' over dinner, or just for the event itself.

no 'Dan 63' here, my only problem is that I have no sense of direction

Don't think I'd stay the night but meeting at the Travelodge is a good idea, be nice to ride to Beaulieu in a group

its not even that far for us to travel in one sitting - the overnight is just an excuse to have an evening on the beer

I have anther mate joining us on his CBR600, so at least we'll have someone to chase!

I'm up for this. I'd be tempted to stay over, too. I've always fancied Beaulieu.

Excellent. Rooms still available at The Castle (!), but like all Travellodges, it will get more expensive closer to the date, so book early.

How much is it out of curiosity? I can't commit because of wife's health at the moment but the day would be fine.

£56 for the Travellodge (at the moment) and £6 to get in at Beaulieu if booked in advance.

I'd be up for it, but on my XJ900 - my back can't take that long a trip on the CB500, its too cramped.

I would love to come, but atm I have issues with motorway speeds. I think it's a carb issue. Fingers crossed I get it sorted before then. My parents only live a few miles from there in Hythe, so my bed is sorted if I come!!!! :-) FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!

The Travelodge price is slowly rising, so book soonest I've you want to come along and stay over...
