I tested out my electrical system by riding 184 miles yesterday, 100 in the rain with an air rifle strapped to the back (got some funny looks) and 40 miles with a Dji F450 (drone) on the rear rack!

It appears to be an Issigonis Lightweight Special:

Right. It's the one-and-only Lightweight Special. It was over in NornIrn as a guest runner at the annual Hillclimb in the Ulster Folk & Transport museum grounds at Cultra.

Re: What did you do with your CB500 today?
Pulled off the cover and did a few checks, took a bit of turning over to get everything freed up and it started, and is starting first time now having had a bit of time to idle. Then took it out for a quick spin. Been at uni with the bike at home so now I've finished I can get some proper riding in on it. Hopefully be able to take it back to uni with me in September too.
Brake light with the rear was sticking on, any ideas? I've just posted in the workshop section but thought I'd mention it here too.

Re: What did you do with your CB500 today?
I calculated the fuel economy from the last 1000 miles today:
71.3 MPG!!
(Although this is possibly off as the odometer is probably calibrated for the 80 profile tyre not the 70 profile)
Edit: taking into account tyre size issues actual MPG is 68.7 MPG

Re: What did you do with your CB500 today?
Sorted out the sticking brake with a new switch, working perfectly now.
Also found out its no use having two garages when they're both too full of stuff to do any bike work in them. Got rained off of doing the brake three times today, really getting bored of this shit weather now. Isn't it supposed to be summer now?
EDIT:
Weather cleared up a bit, and there was even a hint of sunshine. Took my opportunity and got it out for a long ride, my first proper ride since getting it. I was out about 3 hours in total, really didn't want to go home. However we were forecasted a thunderstorm and I noticed it was darkening over a little, so I forced myself to head back. Had a blast though, and really love the bike.

Went to this show:
http://www.roystonmotorcycleclub.co.uk/
It's just down the road from me and it was on Wednesday evening - it looked like it wasn't going to rain and luckily it didn't.

Impressive numbers. Even more impressive lower fairing, where did you get it?
